COMING SOON! LIPSTICK & LIQUOR tells the haunting true story of Julie Kroll, a mother who stumbled away from a car crash in the dead of winter, leaving behind her eight-year-old daughter. The film explores why a growing number of women are suffering and dying from alcohol dependence. Emmy-award winning filmmaker Lori Butterfield will lead a discussion and Q&A session as well as provide the Women in Recovery Discussion Guide and Reflective Journals for our audience. Farmers and Artisans Market

The Chestertown Farmers Market is a treat. Located in beautiful Fountain Park in the heart of downtown Chestertown on Saturday mornings, you’ll find wonderful fresh home grown produce, herbs, breads, soaps, plants and cut flowers as well as the hand-crafted works of local artisans. Come on and stop by our table. It’s covered with literature, articles, business cards, flyers and anything else you can write on. We love to answer questions and talk about what we do.

Wellness Talks

Throughout the year we invite the local community to hear our version of TED Talks. These 18-minute talks give our members a platform to share stories about what they’re doing and who they support while engaging the community. We’ll share compelling stories, expose crazy myths, reveal innovations and surprising ways in which small shifts can make big changes and transform lives. Our practitioners may team up or go it alone, but they always promise to give it their all.

Workshops

Throughout the year we will offer professional development workshops and consultations for our members to better run their small businesses. From financing, fiscal sponsorship, social media & marketing strategies to storytelling, crafting webinars and other passive income earners, the goal is to support our small business owners who boast great entrepreneurial spirits.
