ALEXA “LEX” FRY is the director of Missing Link Yoga and Pilates at Washington College, in Chestertown, Maryland. She leads instruction of Classical Yoga and Classic Mat Pilates that she customizes for all ages, stages, and challenges from injury recovery to prevention. She also offers individual personal wellness training and instruction in meditation.
Lex began dabbling in yoga 20 years ago, using it as a compliment to outdoor pursuits such as mountaineering, but became a serious student of Astanga yoga in Telluride, Colorado in 1999. Returning to the East Coast, Lex found her lifetime teacher in Beryl Bender Birch, and has been a student ever since.
Lex is an E-500 level registration of the Hard and The Soft Yoga Institute, registered with the National Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 level, and a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Lex has a B.S. in Education, an M.S. in Counseling, and Post Graduate studies in Organizational Psychology and Leadership Development. She has spent her professional career in a variety of settings, facilitating personal and professional growth and development with students in schools, colleges, and corporate settings.
Lex is endlessly humbled by the hard work and dedication of her students, and is committed to bringing her students a sense of humor and laughter in a lifetime of serious self study. Her students range from age 17 to 94, and include college athletes and senior citizens studying together in a variety of classes.
