Alexa, known as Lex, Fry, is the director of Missing Link Yoga and Pilates. She has a lengthy history of teaching yoga to students and faculty at Washington College for over 20 years. She currently teaches at Radcliffe Studios, and also offers private classes at client’s homes, as well as intensives for yoga students and teachers. She teaches about all 8 Limbs in Yoga, with a traditional Asana style practice, as well as Classic Mat Pilates that she customizes for all ages and abilities. Lex began her asana practice of yoga around 20 years ago, using it as a compliment to her outdoor pursuits, such as mountaineering. She then became a serious student of Ashtanga yoga in Telluride, Colorado in the year of 1999. Lex eventually returned to the East Coast, and found a lifetime teacher in Beryl Bender Birch, a Power Yoga instructor.
Lex is an E-500 level instructor with the Hard and The Soft Yoga Institute, registered with the National Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 level, and a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Lex has a B.S. in Education, an M.S. in Counseling, and Post Graduate studies in Organizational Psychology and Leadership Development. She is also registered to teach continuing education to other yoga teachers. She has spent her professional career in a variety of settings, facilitating personal and professional growth and development with students in schools, colleges, and corporate settings.
Lex is endlessly humbled by the hard work and dedication of her students, and is committed to bringing her students a sense of humor and laughter in a lifetime of serious self study. Her students range from age 17 to 94, and include college athletes and senior citizens studying together in a variety of classes.
